Země je promrzlá, jezera jsou zamrzlá, příroda spí. Města jsou šedá, neživá a s atmosférou bez tohoto zimního období. Právě proto lidé utíkají do hor. Do těch zasněžených masivů, kde sněhu jsou kupy, až do začátku jara, kdy se počasí dokáže změnit s každou minutou.
Tam se může člověk jednu chvíli ztrácet ve sněžné bouři tak, že nemá ponětí, kam vlastně jde a hned tu další zase vidí slunce, které prosvítí všechny padající vločky, které tím pak připomínají padající střepy. Hory jsou něco krásného, ale zároveň nebezpečného. Člověk se jich nemusí bát, ale měl by k nim mít respekt.
Zachytit zimu svým způsobem nemusí být nic složitého, ale občas je to právě sama zima, která vám to stíží.
Několik víkendů nazpět jsme se vypravili do hor a první den nás hned přivítala silná sněžná bouře, kdy se člověk pomalu může o vítr opírat, jak je silný. V tomto případě jde fotit velmi těžce, protože ani vlastně pořádně nevíte, co fotíte. Všechno jsou to jen takové náhody a pokusy, u kterých doufáte, že až sami rozmrznete a budete je procházet, najdete něco, co se snad povedlo. Taková bouře totiž může být jen nekonečné prázdné bílo a vy musíte jen doufat, že budete mít štěstí na moment, kdy se skrz něj dostanou aspoň nějaké paprsky světla. Protože to je to, co v takových situacích potřebujete.
Další den už čekala jen jasná obloha se sluncem nad obzorem a to už je vše mnohem jednodušší. To už stačí, když si člověk najde ty momenty, pohledy do krajiny nebo detaily, které chce zachytit a vzhledem k tomu, jak krásné zasněžené hory jsou, tak to opravdu problém nebývá. Pokud budete chtít s fotkami nějak dál pracovat, nepouštějte se zbytečně do větších úprav, zima je především o čistotě a jednoduchosti, kterou sníh přináší do krajiny. Zaslouží si zůstat bez větších kýčovitých úprav.
